  1. Do you have accommodation and food facilities for drivers?

    We do provide accommodation for drivers but it is subject to availability. There is a nominal charge for driver meals, served at fixed times i.e. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
     
  2. Do you have wi-fi in rooms?

    We do not provide Wi-Fi in the room. Guests have access to Wi-Fi in the Reception, Lobby and Lounge area.
     
  3. Is drinking/consumption of alcohol allowed in the dining/swimming pool area?

    Personal liquor purchased from Madhya Pradesh can be consumed only in the bedrooms. Out-of-state liquor is not allowed in Madhya Pradesh and will be confiscated by the Excise Department during their random checks. Consumption of personal Alcohol which is not purchased at the resort (when the bar license is approved), is not allowed outside the bedrooms i.e. in open/public areas/poolside/restaurant/etc.
     
  4. Do you have a Pool table?

    We do have a pool table. And, we provide other indoor games such as Table Tennis, Chess, Carom and other board games.
     
  5. Can we go outside of the resort for cycling?

    Cycling is only allowed inside the resort premises; we do not allow cycling outside the resort unless the guest has booked a cycling tour experience where there will be an escort with them. We are located in the buffer zone of the park and wild animals do roam around.
     
  6. Do you provide swimming costumes for rent?

    We do not provide swimming costumes for rent. However, they are available for sale in the BARASINGHA Shop (limited availability).
     
  7. Do you see tigers during safaris?

    Tiger sightings are not guaranteed. However, Guests do get to see them very frequently in the Jeep safaris, sighting Tigers is a matter of chance and luck.
     
  8. Apart from Safari is there any other sight-seeing place in Kanha?

    a. Guests can visit the Local Tribal Village “Sanda Tola” which is at a distance of 5 km from The Riverwood Forest Retreat-Kanha. Guests can learn about the livelihood of the local villagers and their daily way of life.
    b. Guests can prebook and visit Gidhli Ghogra Falls, which is just 15 km from the resort. The fall is very scenic and a visit in the evening time to enjoy the sunset and have evening Tea/Coffee.
    c. Local Haat bazaar is 3 to 5 km away from our property. You can visit the bazaar on Tuesdays and Fridays.
     
  9. Do you provide disposable slippers in rooms?

    We are an environmentally conscious organisation, hence we do not provide slippers in rooms, as they are generally used and thrown and added to the non-perishable waste. 
     
  10. What is the maximum depth of your swimming pool?

    We have two parts in our Swimming pool, the first part is for adults which is 4 feet in depth and the other part is the baby pool which is 2.5 feet in depth. Children have to be accompanied by an adult. There is no lifeguard on duty.
     
  11. Is the Spa staff female or male?

    We have trained female Spa Therapists.
     
  12. Do you provide non-vegetarian options for both lunch and Dinner?

    Yes, we do provide non-vegetarian options for both Lunch and Dinner.
     
  13. Do you have a separate setup for vegetarians in the kitchen?

    Yes, we have a separate setup for vegetarians.
     
  14. Is Bonfire chargeable?

    Yes, Bonfire is chargeable.
     
  15. Do I need to carry an Identity Proof?

    All Foreign Nationals must carry their original passport and all Indians (children Included) need to carry a valid government-approved Photo Identity card (Voter ID Card/Aadhaar card/Driving license). Without these documents, no individual will be allowed to stay at the resort or enter the national park.

    Yes, the resort can organize a vehicle for your safari at an additional cost.
     
  21. What animals and water life can be sighted in Kanha?

    Kanha’s gorgeous landscape is home to many endangered species. More than 25 glorious Tigers, Wolf, Jungle Cat, Dhol, Hyena, Sambhar, Gaur, Hornbills, Kingfishers, Barbets, Minivets, Wagtails and many more.
     
  22. What is the timing of Check-in and Check-out?

    Check-in time is 2 pm and check-out time is 11 am.
     
  23. Is late checkout chargeable or not?

    Chargeable and Subject to availability.

  25. What is the best time to visit Kanha National Park?

    The national park remains closed between 1st July to 1st / 30th September. The rest of the year is suitable for visiting this national park and surrounding areas.
     
  26. Is smoking allowed at resorts?

    Smoking is allowed in open areas like balconies, and open areas, kindly dispose of your cigarette after ensuring it is not burning as we are in a dry deciduous forest even a small spark can light up a forest fire. Be responsible and dispose of them in the various bins located at the resort. Smoking inside the rooms is not allowed.
     
  27. What essentials should I pack?

    Must have cotton trousers and shirts/T-shirts, Heavy woollen, windproof jacket and ear muffs, walking shoes, Hat/Sun Guard, Sunglasses, Binoculars, Personal medication if any, rainproof jacket, mosquito repellent and sunscreen lotion.
     
  28. Facility of First aid is available there or not?

    Yes, we have a basic first-aid kit available at our resort.
     
  29. Are there any special arrangements for differently abled people or Senior citizens?

    Yes, a few of our rooms are suitable for disabled guests and senior citizens with assistance. We also provide an e-rickshaw service for transfers from the room to the various dining/activity locations within our resort.
